Bill Marshall 1917-2017
It is with very great sadness that we must inform you that our President, Bill Marshall, passed away peacefully yesterday, 30th November 2017, just 9 days after his 100th birthday.
Fortunately he enjoyed his birthday celebrations to the full, despite a fall on the 18th, and his deterioration was quick and painless. In fact Mary, his daughter tells us that he kept erupting into that lovely big barrel laugh of his until the end.
We am proud to say that most times we spoke and especially the last time, Bill, our last surviving founder member, expressed how pleased he was at how The Java FEPOW Club had progressed since he handed over the reins and we will be happy to continue in his, and his comrades memories until we are no longer needed.
In sadness, RIP dear Bill.
